Woven In Wonder

For years, I have wanted to support families with a loved one who has Down Syndrome. Inspired by my own family story, my aunt Mirna grew up in Lebanon during their civil war without the support she deserved. Meeting her in 2016 was a bittersweet experience and after her passing in 2018, I realized how much I wished I had more photos of her and my dad’s family growing up — memories of their bond that were never captured. Since then, I felt even more determined to honor her memory by celebrating this extraordinary community and ensuring other families would have photos to pass down.

In 2024, that desire took shape in my first gifted photoshoot. I’ve been amazed by the joy, kindness, and extraordinary magic of people with Down Syndrome and the light they bring into rooms. I wanted to create lasting memories for families, capturing moments they can treasure, that’s why I’m launching Woven in Wonder — an annual series of portrait sessions celebrating families with loved ones who have Down Syndrome. These photos will become heirlooms, preserving bonds, love, and joy for years to come.
